Who we are
Gauss is a non-profit association that supports the integral development of young people with few opportunities and great potential, aiming to project them to top universities. To this end, it offers scholarships in preparatory courses, mentoring, and multidisciplinary support.
In a country where high income concentration and public education challenges are barriers to development, Gauss believes that investing in people through education is the main tool for social transformation.
Recognizing that the socioeconomic context in which a person is born, grows, and develops is decisive for their future, and that opportunities come with responsibilities, Gauss brings together and mobilizes people who invest in dreams and believe in people.

Our values
Why Gauss?
Our name comes from the renowned mathematician Johann Carl Friedrich Gauss (1777 – 1855), whose life story inspires the Association's actions.
Coming from a peasant family with few resources, Gauss was able to finance and fully dedicate himself to his studies thanks to the support of the Duke of Brunswick, a mentor who was impressed by his talent and believed in his potential. Throughout his life, he worked as a teacher and wrote several works that shaped modern mathematics.
Our mission is to multiply stories like Gauss's here in Brazil, driving our youth to reach the potential inhibited by adverse circumstances.
