2014Four classmates from Polytechnic School at USP join efforts to finance the studies of two brothers who dreamed of studying engineering, creating the “Future Polytechnic” project.
2015

2015The Gauss Project Association is founded as a public interest non-profit organization (OSCIP, 501(c)(3)-equivalent) with a core group of 10 associates, University of São Paulo (USP) alumni or students.
2016
01 Jan
2016The association’s website and Facebook profile are launched; network of collaborators and donors are expanded; activities are expanded to Sergipe state; awarded the 1st ‘Employee Presents’ prize from the Credit Suisse Hedging-Griffo Institute; selection processes for awardees and volunteer mentors are established; the whole first Gauss’ class (four students) is accepted in top tier universities, successfully completing our first cycle.

2017Promoted in mainstream media (Estadão / TV Record); awarded 2nd ‘Employee Presents’ prize from the Credit Suisse Hedging-Griffo Institute.
2018

2018Activities are expanded to the Federal District, Brazil’s capital; working groups for structuring internal processes are created; the institutional brand is developed; awarded the 3rd ‘Employee Presents’ prize from the Credit Suisse Hedging-Griffo Institute. Beneficiaries reach the total number of 23 students.

2019Education Chat’, a discussion forum for entities linked to education is launched; an endowment fund is established; André Longo Milanese award is created; awarded 4th ‘Employee Presents’ prize from the Credit Suisse Hedging-Griffo Institute. Beneficiaries reach the total number of 61 students.

2020First full-time Gauss manager is hired, an important step in the professionalization of the project; new visual identity for the organization is developed and new website is launched; tax deductible donations for U.S. residents become available due to Brazil Foundation partnership. |
